Italian route : services resume via Modane

After several weeks of operational adjustments due to scheduled works on the Maurienne line, T3M is now returning to its usual transport plan on the Italian route.

Usual services resume from 12 October

Since 11 September, in order to ensure the continuity of freight transport throughout the closure of the line, trains to and from Italy have been rerouted via Switzerland.

This alternative route, which was longer and more complex operationally, allowed us to maintain uninterrupted service for our customers despite the constraints caused by the works.

With the end of the closure period, T3M can now return to its usual operating arrangements.

As of 12 October 2026, services will resume via Modane, with the reinstatement of the services originally scheduled on this route.

This return to our usual operating pattern will allow us to restore the expected levels of quality and performance on this strategic route.

Thank you for your trust

Throughout this period, our teams remained fully mobilised to ensure the continuity of freight flows and support our customers despite the constraints caused by the works.

We would like to thank all our customers for their trust and understanding during this period.
